MSRIT LIBRARY
The Library began its existence in 1962. With its modern collection, knowledge resources and innovative information services fills an essential role for Students, faculty and the surrounding community in their intellectual pursuits. It is Centralized Air Conditioned fully automated library with the state of the art technological applications with a carpet area of 1762 sq. mtrs. It holds knowledge resources predominantly related to Engineering, Technology, Management and allied subjects.

As per Fourth Law of Library Science “SAVE THE TIME OF READER” on this base MSRIT libraries are divided into Six libraries apart from the Departmental libraries and all the libraries are controlled & maintained by the Main Library (Library and Information Centre-1).

All faculty, staff, and bona fide students are considered members of the library. Please adhere to the following rules:

Users must present their identity cards upon request and sign the gate register without exception.

Maintain perfect order and silence within the library.
Thank you for following these guidelines to ensure a productive library environment! -
Making noise, spitting, smoking, or using electronic devices is strictly prohibited.

Do not mutilate, disfigure, or deface library materials by writing, underlining, or similar actions.

Reference books are for in-library reading only.

After reading, please leave library books and journals on the table.

Report any inactivity by library staff or issues with library services to the librarian.

Compliance with library rules is mandatory; failure to do so may result in the revocation of your library membership card at any time.

Before borrowing a book, check it for any damage and report it immediately.

A fine of Rs. 1 per day will be charged after the specified due date.

In case of lost, damaged, or defaced books, the borrower must either replace them with the latest edition or pay three times the current cost of the book.

CDs/DVDs and periodicals may be borrowed overnight upon request.

The use of mobile phones within the library is strictly prohibited.

Pen drives are not allowed inside the library; however, they may be used at OPAC systems.

The digital library is for browsing and downloading e-learning resources only; please refrain from playing computer games or accessing unwanted content.

Do not leave money purses, valuable items, laptops, or any electronic devices at the property counter.

Be aware of the library materials you have borrowed and return them on time to avoid fines and as a courtesy to others.

Student Privileges: Students can borrow up to 4 books for 15 days, 2 books under the MSRIT Book Bank Scheme, and 2 books under the SC/ST Book Bank Scheme for 6 months.

Faculty and Staff Privileges: Faculty and staff can borrow up to 10 books for six months.
